Events

The Ventura Chamber of Commerce puts on several events throughout the year that allow our members to come together, network, and learn more about what is going in the business world and their wonderful community.

Connection Breakfast

The Connection Breakfast occurs on the first Friday of each month and is one of most popular networking events. In addition to having the opportunity to network in a fun environment, each attendee receives 20 seconds to stand up and promote their business. Breakfast begins at 7:15am. The MIX

The MIX! is an informal networking after-work function held about six times a year. The host business provides hors d’oevres and beverages. Locations vary as scheduled.

Annual Meeting & Board Installation

The Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Board Installation is held at the beginning of each year in January. The event provides a time to focus on the Chamber, celebrating our accomplishments from the previous year and looking forward to the goals and strategic direction selected by the incoming Board of Directors for the new year.

State of the City

In early spring, the Chamber hosts an annual event to learn about the “State of the City.” The event focuses on a presentation from the Mayor who provides his/her unique perspective on the accomplishments and future of the City of Ventura.

Semi-Annual Business Expo

The Chamber’s Semi-Annual Business Expo is held in spring and fall each year at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel at the Ventura Harbor. Over 75 vendors participate in the expo, showcasing their services and products to both members of the Chamber and the entire community.

Economic Outlook Breakfast

In early summer the Chamber of Commerce presents an overview of economic trends and opportunities in the City of Ventura.

TASTE

One of the Chamber’s most popular events, TASTE is held in early autumn. Partnering with local restaurants, wineries, breweries, and bakeries/confectioners, over 300 guests enjoy the very best Ventura has to offer in a festive, casual atmosphere.

Poinsettia Awards

The Ventura Chamber of Commerce hosts this exciting event to come together and celebrate the best in our community; the best in business, the best in education, the best in public service, and the best community leaders. The Poinsettia Awards provides the Chamber with the opportunity to recognize the hard work and contributions that make Ventura a truly special place to live and work.

New Member Orientation

The Chamber hosts a New Member Orientation twice to year to help inform both new and existing members about everything the Chamber has to offer, and how to make the most from a Chamber membership.

Seminars & Workshops

The Chamber regularly schedules seminars and workshops to provide timely information on topics to help local businesses and non-profits in today’s business environment.

Event Cancellation & Refund Policies

THE VENTURA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE is honored to host the region’s business and civic leaders at a wide range of events throughout the year. In an effort to maintain a diverse and relevant slate of high-quality events, be advised of the chamber’s official event refund policy.

Refunds will be managed based on receipt of a written request of cancellation:

30 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT: registration fees will be refunded IN FULL

SPONSORSHIP FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE, unless the event is cancelled

ALL VENTURA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EVENTS are subject to this cancellation policy with the exception of events where travel is involved.

Because the Ventura Chamber of Commerce is subject to and responsible for all travel fees in accordance with third-party vendor requirements, a separate cancellation policy applies. Consult appropriate program materials for complete cancellation details.

ALL ON-SITE REGISTRANTS for any Ventura Chamber of Commerce event must be paid in full upon admittance and cannot be invoiced.
