Connection Breakfast
The Ventura Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to our largest monthly networking event! This energy-filled event is a great opportunity to meet new people and build your personal brand. Each attendee will have 20 seconds to stand and introduce their business. Member businesses are listed on the “hot sheet.” All breakfast attendees receive this list of registered member-businesses and their contact information. All members who pre-register by noon the Wednesday before the breakfast will be listed on the “hot sheet.” The Chamber awards prizes to their favorite commercials, so bring your most creative and engaging energy. Members are invited to bring prizes for drawings held throughout the morning. The Connection Breakfast costs $40 for members, $50 for non-members +$5 at the door. The MIX
The MIX is an informal, after-work, social networking function held at least once each quarter at a different chamber member-business, who provides the venue and refreshments. Attending The MIX is free and open to all in the community. Bring a door prize for extra visibility! The MIX is a fun, interactive way for members of the business community to come together, network and have fun! Host businesses are booked several months in advance. Lunchmob
The Lunchmob is held on the last Friday of each month from 12-1:30PM, and brings together 20+ people for lunch at a chamber member restaurant. Each attendee orders on their own (or, we receive separate checks,) and we talk business while enjoying the diverse food choices in our city! This event provides a great opportunity to build relationships with fellow members and support one of our local restaurants. All are welcome to join.
Ribbon Cuttings
Ribbon Cuttings are held to celebrate a business who is new, remodeled, under new ownership, or has undergone rebranding. These special events are open to our entire community! Join us to celebrate a business making investment in Ventura. To schedule a ribbon cutting, e-mail Ashley@ventura-chamber.org.
Annual Meeting
The Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Board Installation is held each January. The event provides an opportunity to hear from the Chamber Board and leadership, celebrating our accomplishments from the previous year and learning about the goals and strategic direction for the year to come. Long-term members are recognized for their commitment to the Chamber. Retiring Directors are thanked and new Officers and Directors are installed. Join us to kick off the new year!
State of the City
The Chamber hosts this annual event to provide access for our members to hear from and connect with our City leadership. The State of the City event includes a presentation from the Mayor who provides perspective on the prior year’s accomplishments and future outlook for the City of Ventura. The event concludes with a Q&A with the Mayor and City Leadership. The event provides access to our elected and appointed leaders and provides great visibility for our members and sponsors.
Semi-Annual Business Expo
The Chamber’s Business Expo is held each spring and fall at the Four Points by Sheraton Ventura Harbor. More than 75 vendors participate in each expo, showcasing their services and products to both members of the Chamber and the entire community. Chamber member restaurants provide samples of their menu for the attendees. Each Expo has it’s own theme. Only members of the chamber can exhibit, but all are welcome to attend.
Economic Outlook Breakfast
More than a forecast, the Chamber presents an overview of economic trends and opportunities in the City of Ventura. We focus on providing valuable and timely information, attendees receive an exclusive in depth look at key industry sectors, individuals, industries and issues that impact our economic vitality.
Poinsettia Awards
Each December, the Ventura Chamber of Commerce hosts our Poinsettia Awards. This event brings the community together to celebrate the best in our community; the best in business, the best in education, the best in public service, and the best community leaders. The Poinsettia Awards provides the Chamber with the opportunity to recognize the hard work and contributions that make Ventura a truly special place to live, work and play. We also support the Ventura Firefighters’ “Spark of Love” Holiday Toy Drive by inviting attendees to bring in a new, unwrapped toy or piece of sports equipment to the luncheon to help provide a bright holiday for children in need right here in our community. Nominations for the awards are solicited in the summer and selections are announced in December at the awards event.
