Members are encouraged to be actively involved in a Ventura Chamber Committee. It’s a great way to get connected, make change, and learn about our Chamber and the City. These focused groups are where much of the behind-the-scenes work of the Chamber happens. Committee members get the opportunity to effect real change in the Ventura business community, deepen relationships with with fellow members, and build their referral networks.
As an Ambassador with the Ventura Chamber of Commerce, individuals agree to actively participate in Chamber activities, providing support to the Chamber and its members.

The Ventura Chamber’s Economic Development & Legislative Committee promotes the local, state, and federal legislative interests of the business community and works to highlight and discuss issues of interest, and is dedicated to identifying and solving the key economic issues facing the City of Ventura.

The Ventura Chamber’s Energy Committee provides a forum for identifying and discussing common issues affecting the energy industry and consumers and is comprised of people and companies representing a diverse group of energy sources. One of the main goals of this committee will be to work toward enhancing public awareness of the importance of the energy industry to the local economy and quality of life. In collaboration with the City of Ventura and local agencies dedicated to a “greener” environment, the mission of the Ventura Chamber’s Green Task Force is to empower the local business community to work “green” through Chamber-led community projects and educational initiatives that will positively impact the environment.
Faced with the challenge of promoting the Chamber and its events, the Marketing Committee meets monthly to provide input and assist with marketing tasks. All marketing methods, both traditional and online media are addressed to further the mission of the Chamber, increase visibility of membership benefits, and host and promote all Chamber events.

The mission of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (PAC) is to seek out, endorse and support candidates to run for public office at the City and County levels who support free enterprise, believe in fiscally responsible government and whose views represent the interest of both the private and public sectors of the economy.

As the Chamber’s 501c3, the Foundation engages businesses in undertaking economic, educational, cultural and environmental projects that benefit Ventura and the regional community. VCEF provides a business link to the economic, educational, cultural, and environmental interests of the Ventura regional community with a vision to the future.
Ventura Chamber YPG is comprised of young professionals who are members of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce or are prospective members, interested in creating positive change in self and the community. This group has put on some of the most creative events the Chamber has seen and is actively seeking new members.
