I’ve been a fully licensed Insurance & Financial Services Professional for 25 years in Ventura, and joining the Ventura Chamber of Commerce was the second thing I did, and I’ve never regretted it! I’ve seen so many changes, as a volunteer Ambassador the whole time, on the Board of Directors, Vice Chair of Membership, served on task forces for HealthCare Reform, committees that developed the Chamber logo and other marketing ideas, helped create programs for networking and the Connection Breakfast, and am active and committed to growing the Biz Connections Leads Groups.
I started out in my practice meeting with young clients and new homeowners and parents around the kitchen table, for Health & Life Insurance, and with the Chamber’s help, have since grown with my clients and market, helping Boomers and Seniors with Retirement Planning, Employer Group Insurance Benefits, Tax-Sheltered Indexed Accounts, Long Term Care and Medicare Supplements.
The Chamber has been there the whole time, helping me grow my business and providing the opportunity to meet many great business people, with the relationships that are important in my business for referring each other, to the deeper friendships providing support. Most of my business is word of mouth and referral and the Chamber provides so much more than the average networking group, with so many committees and opportunities to get involved.
After recently going through vocal carcinoma, I’ve learned to listen more and talk less, so I now offer a complete courtesy insurance and financial review to Ventura Chamber members and family, friends and business co-workers and partners. Thanks again to the Ventura Chamber for being there for me, and helping grow my business for the next 25 years!
