Ventura Chamber breakfast-goers are taking a field trip this week! FOOD Share is sponsoring the August 4 Connection Breakfast and we will be enjoying our popular, upbeat (and often full of laughter) breakfast meeting at their warehouse facility. If you have yet to see just exactly how FOOD Share feeds over 74,000 people per month, you will not want to miss this experience. This is a great opportunity to get involved with a fantastic organization.
You are encouraged to bring a non-perishable donation! Every person who brings a donation will receive one raffle ticket to be entered into a drawing for dinner at Aloha Steakhouse. Thank you Aloha for the support!
As usual, every guest will have time to give a “20 second commercial.” There will be door prizes, community announcements, delicious food and networking galore!
About FOOD Share:
More than 35 years ago, eight citizens performed a good deed by distributing food to those who were in need underneath a Ventura bridge. The early philanthropic movement quickly formed into what is now Ventura County’s regional food bank, FOOD Share, which has grown from serving a few hundred hungry people per month to 74,500 people. FOOD Share invites you to join us for our 2nd Annual Blue Jean Ball on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Walnut Grove at Tierra Rejada Farms. This event will celebrate our founder and visionary, Jewel Pedi, as she celebrates her 90th Birthday! She will, appropriately, be our “Jewel of the Ball”. Tickets can be purchased at www.foodshare.com/bluejeanball
